Husqvarna 115il: The Husqvarna is a great cordless trimmer and we couldn’t complain. Although it can cut through most things easily, it isn’t the strongest-duty weed eater we tested.
It is also more maneuverable and capable of making precise cuts and edging along paths. Although the HTML115iL has all this and a long battery life, we found it to be a little difficult to use due to its limited reach.
If you have other Husqvarna tools, you will find it a good string trimmer. It is also very affordable.

What is the Husqvarna 115iL?
Husqvarna’s powerful cordless strimmer, the 115iL, is designed for trimming grass and light weeds in larger gardens.
It has a large cutting circle of 330mm. It comes as a complete kit with the QC80 charger and BLi10 battery.
However, there are many other charger and battery options. The battery can be used in both low-power and normal modes, allowing for a 30-minute cutting time.
The Husqvarna is a powerful and efficient grass trimmer that can be used in conjunction with compact cordless mowers.
The Husqvarna is fast in wet grass and has no slowdown. The saving mode is quiet and effective, and the cut is very clean.
Although the in-line charger may not be as convenient as a dock, there are many compatible Husqvarna batteries and chargers to choose from.
Husqvarna 115iL – What is it like to use?
With the BLi10 battery, we tipped the scales at over 4.2kg. The 115iL is definitely not a lightweight trimmer for an elderly mum. She refused to use it.
The shaft length can be adjusted easily despite the odd spring-loading. You can also adjust the position of your loop handle, making it very adjustable for fit.
It is heavy, but it’s not as cumbersome or as powerful as a 4-stroke petrol brush-cutter. Husqvarna’s native Sweden is home to only a few burly men who do lawn care.
Why buy the Husqvarna 115iL?
Although the Husqvarna 115iL may be Husqvarna’s “light” duty cordless grass trimmer it is still a very capable machine.
It weighs in at 4.2kg and is heavier than some entry-level cordless strimmers. However, the performance is exceptional.
The machine cuts a large circle and doesn’t become brittle in the face of wet grass or heavy weed growth.
It can provide 20-30 minutes of run-time even with the basic BLi10 batteries. The savE Eco mode is great for smaller lanes and provides a lot of run times.
Husqvarna is known for its uncompromising quality in fit, finish, and build quality. The 115iL is a great option for medium-sized lawns if you are able to live with its large size and messy charger.
Husqvarna 115iL Specification
The Husqvarna cordless string trimmer is an excellent choice. It scored well in all of our testing metrics, but it has some flaws that prevented it from taking the top spot.
If someone is extremely tall or has very heavy-duty trimming jobs, we wouldn’t discourage them from buying it. However, there are better options for a similar or slightly higher price.
