Husqvarna 455 Rancher, a top-selling Husky saw on Amazon, is a popular all-purpose chainsaw model.
But, is it right?
I have a model similar to the 445 Rancher – and the 450 Rancher.
This line has proven to be reliable, durable, and hard-working. They are great for cutting firewood and medium trees and cleaning up around the house and farm.
Let’s see if the 455 Rancher is right for you.
For whom is Rancher 455 the best?
Although this saw isn’t a professional-grade chainsaw, it makes a great tool for ranchers and farmers.
It’s not recommended for daily use, but it can be used on occasion!
My Husqvarna Rancher Saw is used for about 20 days per year. It’s mostly used to process hardwood firewood.
It works very well on the days that I use it and it is a powerful saw.

Rancher 455 Specs & Features
This 55cc chainsaw is sold usually with a 20-inch-long bar. However, Amazon allows you to choose an 18-inch bar.
Husqvarna says it can be used with any size from 14 to 20 inches.
My research has shown that many people find a 16- or 18-inch bar to be the best. This combination is a real winner.
This is a 2-stroke, gas-powered chainsaw. It is definitely not an electric chainsaw!
Other features of this Husky Rancher include
- To prevent injury from kickback, a good chain break is important
- Side-mounted, easy-to-use chain tensioning system
- Easy cleaning with a quick-release filter
- The fuel consumption of X-torque engines is lower
- For greater ease of use, a great anti-vibe system
- It is very easy to set up and use
The Husky 455 Rancher has all the features that you would expect from a premium quality chainsaw.
Husqvarna chainsaws will last many years of faithful service if you take care of them with proper cleaning and maintenance.
