About John Deere 630

The John Deere 630 tractor is an old one. From 1958 to 1960, it was made at two assembly plants: the Waterloo factory in Iowa and the Monterrey factory in Mexico.

In addition to the John Deere 630S (“Standard”), there were also the 630R (“row crop”), 630O (“orchard”), and 630H (“high crop”) models.

During the 2 years, it was made, more than 18,000 units were shipped. The JD 630 from this time is easy to spot because it has a large, vertical yellow stripe just behind the grill and a wider-than-usual yellow stripe in the usual place on the hood.

There were 3 different engines available for the John Deere 630. You could get it with a John Deere-designed and -built two-cylinder gasoline engine with a 5-liter displacement and a liquid-cooling system that uses up to 26.5 liters of coolant.

The second option is a John Deere engine with two cylinders, liquid cooling, and natural aspiration. It is also 5 liters in size.

The last choice is the LP gas engine that John Deere designed and built. It has natural aspiration and two 5-liter cylinders. The most power these engines can put out is 48 hp, which is enough to pull up to 4 ploughs.

The fuel capacity of the John Deere 630 changed based on the type of engine it had. The fuel tank for the LP gas engine was the biggest, holding 125 liters (33 US gallons).

The 77.6-liter (20.5-gallon) all-fuel tank is the smallest. The last tank is the one for gasoline, which can hold up to 84.2 liters (22.3 US gallons).

The JD 630 has a category 2, a 3-point hitch that comes with it. It has a 2.28 m wheelbase (90 inches). Depending on whether it’s a standard, orchard, or high crop model, the length of the tractor is different.

When it was being shipped, the 630 weighed 2657 kg (5858 lbs).
