For 2017, the John Deere 4 Series consists of four tractors: the 4049-horsepower version, which is 49 horses, and the 66-horsepower 4066M.
The 49-horsepower 4049R and the 66-horsepower model 4066R. Like similar John Deere series, tractors with”R” suffixes are more expensive “R” suffixes are deluxe models, while models with “M” or “E” suffixes have fewer features.
This is the case with the 4 series. However, one of the main differences is the fact that the tractors have open-station models whereas the R tractors can be purchased with or without cabs.
